Dude. Turn off the autopilot.
I had to activate the DUPLICATE MESSAGE FILTER over here,
as some BBS's are posting the ad for their system several
times a day!! Some will do it once a day, and others once a
week. I did mine once a month.
Also, in some echoes, I have "autoposts" with the Today
In History program, but they recycle on a yearly basis. Yet,
some moderators have prohibited autoposts...so for those
echoes, I turned them off, or unjoined the echo entirely.

I think the complaint in this case is that the ads in question
are being posted empty. That is, unless the Origin line is meant
to be the ad. ;)

I am not sure, that wasn't my complaint, just part of what I quoted.

yeah i know i was hoping someone else saw it. i dont.
Yep, there are definitely some systems with what I would call excessively-frequent ad postings. I have mine set to autopost
every 10 days, which seems reasonable to me.
Yes, I'd say there are some echos that shouldn't have
autoposts.
My point to the OP was that his "ad" didn't even have any
content, and he doesn't even realize it. Also I think his
domain/address has changed compared to what is in the ad's
origin line.
Unfortunately, at least in my opinion, there are more than a
few "BBSes" that get started up and then not checked or looked
at for weeks/months at a time. That's not what being a Sysop
is all about.
... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.

Your tagline is outdated. You can't get anything at Taco Bell for under
a dollar.

The same holds true everywhere else.

I still remember when gasoline was 25 cents a gallon. While growing
up in south Florida, there were "Gas Wars" between nearby stations,
with the price between 35 and 40 cents a gallon. At the time, my father (who had been gone 19 years now) lamented "I don't know what we'll do
if it hits 40 cents a gallon!!".
What we wouldn't give for that nowadays!!
I remember 56.9 cents per gallon. Although, my car at the time
got 15 mpg... Yesterday, I filled up for $3.69 a gallon and got
51 mpg driving home.

the pump, applied the full discount, got it for 15 cents a gallon,
took a picture of that, and sent it out. It certainly would've gone
viral. <G>
in Big Sur, CA. It's probably 100 miles from the next gas station.
They have 1 or 2 pumps and price the gas astronomically
- they don't want people filling up there except in dire need, as
they don't have huge tanks - you're supposed to get a couple of
gallons to get you by if you need it.
I see pictures of $7.69 gas from there all the time on twitter
with a MAGA poster saying "THIS IS GAVIN NEWSOM'S AMERICA!!!!><@M"
Yeah, we have the other end. There is a gas station on the coast in Big

Even in areas with lots of stations, in 2023, I found stopping for fuel
in CA to be quite a painful experience. Not $7.69 painful, but IIRC
there were a couple of stations just off I-40 in Needles that were
pushing towards $6/gallon. I didn't stop there, but went slighly out
of the way back into AZ (away from the Interstate) to fill up for half
as much.

Offramp gas is always more expensive because of the convenience
- people will pay more to gas up and get back on the road quickly.
