on the floor/pit. It was fun, a lot of chaos in/around the pit, but nobody seriously hurt that I saw. A lot of stink/sweat, spilled bear and a few pus drunks.

Man, I miss metal shows. They were a big part of my young life.
Thanks for the good review/recap. Agreed on Anthrax, but man they sure
do look old in their video(s) now. I'm jealous you got to see Megadeth play Mechanix and Ride The Lightning. Out of the who-knows-how-many
shows of his/theirs I've attended here in Phoenix (a lot), they've
NEVER played any Metallica songs. Mechanix was the one I most wanted to hear them play. You're right about his voice, though. Even like 10
years or so go, he was singing very unenthusiastically like he was
holding back or had a major sore throat. Getting old sucks. Same thing with Scorpions when I saw them at a show. At first I thought they were just trying to not be as loud because it was outside the Hermitage, but then I saw them on TV and the dude still sang like shit, not hitting
any of the high notes he used to hit. Anyway, re: the bassist... Had to look it up if it was still Ellefson, cause yeah that guy has been
around a while.. but I guess he got "cancelled" in '21. Word to Iron Maiden, their shows are always fantastic. And I love how those
inflatable things look so solid in the dark of the concerts! I saw a
video of their stage with just the projections behind them.. it looked cool but not as impressive :). Wish I could've been there.
I'm jealous too! But I only got into Megadeth a few years ago! Now I have most of their albums. Can't believe I overlooked them for so long. It took me a few decades to realise I actually DO like thrash metal.
Dave Mustaine had throat cancer at the end of the 2010s, I suppose that will play havoc with your voice. From what I've heard, his voice, at least on the albums has improved a little since then.
The throat cancer didn't help, but Dave really messed his voice up by the way he sings. Decades of stressing his vocal cords like how he did without any vocal coaching shredded them.
