Like anything, you're mileage will vary. I used to frequent a couple
Denny's without incident and I actually liked the food. I was a big
Grand Slam fan. There was one Denny's I went to with a group of people
and the service there did suck; we waited aver 30min. for our food, which
was not exactly hot. We never went back there again.

I have fond memories of Denny's when I was in college, going there around midnight, getting the breakfast deal and spending an hour or two drinking coffee and doing homework with friends. We were quiet, the restaurant wasn't busy, and we tipped well, so they were fine having us camp out at a table.

We have a Denny's in Oak Grove that's always open, sometimes we all go there after work around 1:00am coffee and the grand slam and an hour or two of hanging out.
    Fun times.
